Three months post-infusion!

Naaman has been a busy guy. He has met two VERY important milestones that we are so grateful to share:

  1. NG tube… gone!
Bye Bye Tubie cake (That's an unused NG tube!)

2.  It’s 3 months post-infusion with no sign of relapse or B-cells returning.

This is excellent news. Relapse can occur any time unfortunately, but data shows that six months post-infusion is a positive indicator that the treatment has worked.   Naaman went to Philadelphia for his three month procedures at CHOP, and enjoyed an upgrade to a suite at the hotel, and an awesome time at the Harry Potter exhibit at Franklin Institute the next day!

Now Naaman can focus on being an interloping little brother (as seen behind Nadine at Miss Daffodil Court), and get ready for kindergarten!  Sadly, he isn’t ready for the Broviac IV to come out yet so that means another dry summer, and dreams of bubble baths on hold. But he is running races, going to birthday parties, and eating ice cream – just like a five year-old should!
