Hello, Team Naaman. Hope you are keeping cool. It’s a bit of a muggy heat wave here and we are grateful for central air to escape when we need! Cheeky loves to be outside, but tends to be hot (or cold) when it doesn’t make sense to us. Don’t be surprised if you spot him on an 80 degree day in a long-sleeve shirt!
Last Wednesday, he went to clinic to check his liver enzymes, which all went down! Amen. The team wanted to resume chemo right away, which made us a little worried but we pressed onward. He will be back next Thursday anyway for IV chemo and they will check those counts again. Thursday he will start steroids and the clinical trial drug again, too.
Cheeky has a bit of a summer cold and cough that’s been keeping him up all night. No fevers so no ED visits, and let’s keep it that way!
#Quaranteam is getting old but...
We aren’t quite out of the woods yet. Yale New Haven Hospital had an easy rule to follow when you’re wondering what to do:
If it looks like it used to pre-COVID, you probably shouldn’t be there.
It certainly helps us when we are wondering about number of people and feet apart and who has a mask on – just a general “keep it simple.” Be well, Team Naaman!
