Merry Christmas and Happy 2020, Team Naaman. We are delinquent in our holiday wishes, and delinquent in many, many thank-yous to everyone who made our Christmas extra merry. Photos with Santa at Bagelicious in North Haven was a huge hit. The South Meriden Lions Club blessed us (and continues to) big time with a Christmas meal and gifts. Shoreline Ladies Book Club sent a wonderful surprise blessing, too, to help with bills. We never stop being amazed at the love and support for our family from our community, near and far. Love you guys.
2020 will be a good year to us. We know it. 2018 brought constant ear infections, tubes in his ears, and then something less common: leukemia. 2019 was supposed to be downhill into long-term maintenance treatment, and brought us veno-occlusive disease which almost took Naaman’s life. Therefore we declare 2020 will be the year he does trend uneventfully through long-term maintenance treatment and play “status quo” until November 2021: end of treatment. Can I get an amen?!
We pray sincerely for a beautiful year for you all and your families. Happy New Year! (And Go Bills in the playoffs.)
