Merry Christmas Ideas

Hi, Team Naaman.  Our little guy is still hanging in there, nasty cough, nasty boogers, but fever-free and home.  We know it’s time to be wrapping up your holiday shopping, so we thought we would give a few shout-outs.  The best part is you can shop all of these online (read: stay in your sweatpants).

Resilience Gives – grab some slipper socks and know that a pair will given to a child with cancer as well as his/her parent.  Also, grab some regular casual or sport socks to support a campaign for a person with cancer.

Bonfire – Of course, you can grab Team Naaman gear (proceeds benefit Smilow pediatric cancer clinic), but there are many other campaigns for all sorts of causes, too.  The downside is your gear may or may not be ready in time for the holidays.

Pancho Power – illustrated children’s book inspired by the one and only Pancho Billa.

Consider a donation in someone’s name (i.e. To Barbie, Love Ken, a donation has been made in your name to ______) to any of these charities that have made a world of difference in our lives:

The Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer – directly benefits Smilow pediatric oncology clinic, as well as Connecticut families affected by cancer

Al’s Angels

Colin’s Crew

Connecticut Cancer Foundation

Circle of Care

Make a Wish

Trucks for Charity

Ellie’s Hats

Amanda’s Hope Rainbow Angels

Organizations like these provide food, holiday gifts, improve clinics, pay utility bills, and more for families affected by cancer.  There are many other charitable organizations as well as products that I’m sure we have left out by mistake, so please take a look out there on Google as well.  So if you’re stuck on a gift idea, there’s a little something for everyone on the list above.

Big Day Thursday

Naaman should start Cycle Three of maintenance on Thursday 12/19, counts pending.  We will keep you all posted. Stay warm!
