Third Annual Trucks for Charity

Previous recipients and the amazing hosts of TFC

Phew. Holy smokes, Team Naaman. Today was an awesome day!  We were blessed to be a part of the third annual Trucks for Charity (TFC3) hosted at New Life Church by Matt and Hannah Hazelwood, Kyle Pelletier, and Brittany DiFusco.  The day started out frosty but warmed up quickly, and the lot was packed! We made it through the day without crying our eyeballs off in front of everyone (maybe just in the port-o-potty and behind a truck). We have said before, but it bears repeating: the generosity, selflessness, and love that people have shown our family is overwhelming and inspiring! The amount of time and energy that went into planning this event is unimaginable for us, and we still can’t believe it was done for the sake of our little guy.  Thank you to every person who helped make the day happen, and to everyone who came out.

Naaman was pretty stinkin’ cute in his flannel jacket, camo pants, and Carhart hat, but I’m fairly certain his sister stole the show.  I see a future in philanthropy and public relations (check the video here:  Nadine announces her choice!)

Nadine’s choice!

Grills and fryers were going with food, DJ playing country faves, all kinds of trucks, excavators and more for the kids to try out. We met and spent time with the families who were sponsored by TFC for the first and second years.  Naaman’s clinic buddies Savannah and Cole also came out.  I think it’s the first time they have been together not only outdoors but also without being hooked up to lines of any kind! Awesome day.

We will post some pics in this post, but be sure to check out the Team Naaman Facebook page for more (click here to link).  Click here to check out the event page for more on the sponsors and loads of photos of the day.  TFC takes place annually, and we will keep you all informed for 2020.  We attended TFC last year, were blessed by it this year, and look forward to paying it forward next year.

Be on the lookout for these Tshirts around town!
